Sleep May Help Clear Brain For New Learning

(Apr. 3, 2009) — A new theory about sleep's benefits for the brain gets a boost from fruit flies in the journal Science. Researchers at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis found evidence that sleep, already recognized as a promoter of long-term memories, also helps clear room in the brain for new learning.

Yes, I totally agree with this blog post.

I think "sleeping" is the best tool to unload all those excess loads of memories which are not required for the future. Once those useless memories are churned out of the brain, our "Brain" becomes receptive for new ideas and new learning’s.

Many psychologists have already explained this, and I have an article on "Sleep Therapy" from MauriceProut at www.MauriceProut.com, where he illustrated the correlation between psychological factors affecting sleeping trends.

Maurice clearly mentioned in one of his articles that "Regular sleep is essential for survival; otherwise if we follow a regimen of uneven sleeping hours then it may lead to serious health hazards.
